Case Study: Humanise Solutions & The Department for Work & Pensions

In 2024, we partnered with The Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) and the Job Centre Brownhills to create a bespoke Work Ready and Wellbeing Programme for 18-19-year-olds.

Our goal was to tackle the barriers young people often face in securing employment, including low self-esteem, lack of direction, and difficulties in navigating the job market. By combining tailored coaching, immersive learning, and personal development, we helped participants unlock their potential and build a foundation for long-term success.

Personalised Support

Every participant begins the programme with a Personal Action Plan to identify their strengths, challenges, and goals. This custom approach ensures that each young adult can track their progress and stay motivated as they work toward their aspirations.

Workplace Readiness

Our curriculum covers a broad range of topics that prepare participants for the workplace. This includes self-awareness, interview preparation, and understanding the difference between fixed and growth mindsets. The content is designed to help young adults take personal accountability for their career paths and gain essential skills for job searching, career planning, and workplace integration.

Immersive learning

Programmes can include 16 structured learning modules, facilitated through a combination of in-person workshops and interactive activities. Participants engage in self-led teamwork, with continuous coaching support to enhance their confidence and interpersonal skills. We prioritise hands-on, experiential learning, ensuring participants feel empowered and ready to face the challenges of both job searching and workplace environments.

Inclusive Coaching

We work closely with each participant, offering tailored coaching sessions and support both in groups and one-on-one. This approach ensures that everyone, regardless of their background or challenges (including neurodiverse learners), receives the guidance they need. By fostering a psychologically safe environment, we help participants build stronger self-esteem and greater resilience.
